About DC Motor Ceiling Fans
A major breakthrough in ceiling fan technology, DC ceiling fans combine the latest in energy efficient motor technology with high performance and stylish designs. Direct Current (DC) motors convert an incoming power supply from AC (Alternating Current) to DC, which is significantly lower power than AC. DC motors provide high airflow, reduced energy consumption and costs, whisper quiet operations and slimmer designs.

Love it!
Have bought 3 of these fans, one for our patio and 2 for large living areas and they do the job perfectly. It's a soft breeze, don't expect gale force winds. But that breeze covers most of the (big) rooms. My only issue was one didn't include the wall plate for the remote but Galaxy sorted that.

Eglo Tourbillion 80" DC 203cm 7 Blade
The fan looks the part and it's construction is solid and well made. This is however the end of the good news. The fans main function is to move air and this fan does not even nearly meet that requirement. At full pace (level 5) it seriously will not move a feather off our table directly below the fan (believe me we tried with a feather). In reverse mode it draws air in but in normal summer mode it is pathetic.
